May 18 – 21 Rhododendron Festival
Come join us the third weekend in May. Our Rhododendrons, that thrive along the Oregon
Coast, are the stars of the Festival and we celebrate their beauty! The spectacular
display of hundreds of Rhododendrons takes place at the Florence Events Center. Enjoy the
Street Vendor Fair, Car Show, 5K run and the Carnival with rides, games and a few
surprises. Join us Sunday for the 116th annual Rhododendron Floral Parade which starts at
noon. The festival officially begins with the Rhody Showcase to crown “Queen Rhododendra”
and “King of the Coast” Saturday May 13th. And while you are in the area, be sure to visit our
fabulous shops, restaurants and the many adventures found only in Florence. The Florence
Rhododendron Festival is the second-oldest flower festival in Oregon and third oldest on the
West Coast and is just one year younger than the Portland Rose Festival. (The oldest flower
festival on the west coast is the Tournament of Roses in Pasadena, California.)
