May 11th, 2024 — Annual Siuslaw Open

Tee off for a cause at the Siuslaw Open, supporting Siuslaw Outreach Services. Held at Florence Golf Links on May 11, 2024, this event promises a day of fun, philanthropy, and friendly competition. Register your team before May 1st for just $400 and join us on the green for a memorable tournament. Don’t miss out on our exciting gift baskets raffle and contests, adding an extra layer of excitement to the day while making a difference in our community.

May 16th – 19th, 2024 — Florence Rhododendron Festival

Celebrating the abundant, hardy and beloved “rhody” that splashes vibrant colors across the Oregon coastline, this springtime festival is bursting with family-friendly entertainment and activities. Held every third weekend in May for over a hundred years, the Florence Rhododendron Festival draws as many as 10,000 visitors to Historic Old Town Florence. It is one of the longest running flower festivals on the west coast.

Yachats

May 2nd, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM — Yachats Big Band

On the First Thursday of every month Yachats Big Band plays at the Yachats Commons at 7pm. Yachats Big Band is a 17 piece ensemble that specializes in Swing Era Music. Come dance or listen to this incredible performance as they light up the stage in our cozy little town!

May 4th, 2024 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM — Yachats Community Dance Party

Central Coast Dance Party presents: Lisha & the Outlaws—live music and dancing at the Yachats Commons 441 Hwy 101, Yachats OR 97498. No matter the weather, there is warmth and plenty of room to gather with your friends and community at the Central Coast Community Dance Party.

May 5th, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM — Coastal Voices Spring Homage

Come celebrate the renewal of spring with Coastal Voices at Yachats Presbyterian Church! Part I, “Sacred Treasures”, will include a spiritual and a Swahili adaptation of the Lord’s Prayer along with other liturgical works. In Part II, “Natural Wonders,” the choir will perform a varied mix of secular music highlighting the seasonal renewal of spring. The smaller ensemble SoundWaves will offer three selections. There will be instrumental accompaniment on some pieces. An audience sing-along will follow the intermission. Tickets are $20 for adults and are available on this site or at the door. Ages 17 and under admitted free.

Waldport

May 4th, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM — Beach, Bikes & Blues Festival

The 3rd annual Beach, Bike & Blues Festival returns to Waldport’s Alsea Bayfront and features 6-hours of live blues music, local food from area chefs, and craft beer from Beachcrest Brewing Company.  The venue is the Alsea Bay Bridge Visitor Center & Museum at the south end of the Alsea Bay Bridge.
